A long spike, such as a javelin or a spear, flies through the air by utilizing the principles of aerodynamics. When thrown with force and at the correct angle, the spike generates lift and minimizes drag, allowing it to travel further and more accurately towards its target. The shape and weight distribution of the spike also play a crucial role in its flight path, helping it maintain stability and momentum as it travels through the air. Overall, a combination of technique, strength, and proper form is essential for achieving a long and precise flight with a spike. **
